Quote by Dr. Adrian Rogers (1931-2005)

Just a little something to think about…

“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

Perhaps the youth of America are creating the next Ronald Reagan

People think the youth of this country will overtake the conservatives and move our government into an even more liberal state.

I think that myself from time to time because so many people leave high school and college wanting to do all the “good deeds” that liberals tell them to do. At one point, some of the opinions my son had were liberal leaning. I realized it was useless to argue the point with him because that would merely add fuel to the fire. I also knew that one day he would get the whole story and make up his mind based on facts. I can get along with just about anyone and if he turns out to be liberal or conservative or any number of other things, I can respect his decision because love runs deeper than opinion.

So Many Threats to America

Outside threats

Ah… but we don’t want to talk about outside threats to America… people may actually wake up and realize that their sweet little homes aren’t quite as protected as they thought.

Pelosi: Lose 500 million jobs | 300 million in America

Here is the first instance of Nancy Pelosi’s GAFFE on the fact we somehow have enough people living in America that we could potentially lose 500 million jobs PER MONTH. There are just over 300 million people living here; perhaps she was looking into the future some 300 years or so?

What are they really trying to stimulate?

Ultimately here is the problem with “government stimulus.” The government does not have wealth, and does not create wealth. The government has money, and can print money but money is NOT wealth.

People create wealth in the things that they produce. It is that wealth that we spend our money on. And that is ultimately what gives our money value. If you have no goods or services to buy then all the money in the world has no value.

Seems things really haven’t changed much

You know the old saying “the more things change, the more things stay the same”? It’s a very true statement. Watch the video below… it’s supposed to be funny (and is) but it sends out a meaningful message as well. I wonder if the people watching it so many years ago got the message I’m talking about?

If you ever watched this show, you realize that Archie and Edith do not agree on many things, and politics was no exception. Unfortunately, most of the message surrounding Archie was that of a bitter white racist man filled with selfishness who used his wife as a doormat. In actuality, his wife could have stood up for herself, but refused. Archie was not a violet man… just loud. The other members of his family (especially his daughter and son-in-law) disagreed with him, continually showing him up and making a fool out of the “idiot white man”.

Gas Prices on the Rise

And the prices start to rise…
They were down to $1.45 here and have been slowly creeping back up. But it’s still only about $1.68 so I suppose we shouldn’t complain, eh?

Obamorgy!!

Last night’s inauguration balls reminded me of the story of Moses and what happened when he left his people to wait for him in reverence while he went to obtain the Ten Commandments.

He turned his back for a short time and they built idols to false gods, made sacrificial offerings and self serving demands and… they became greedy for every known lust and desire.

The comparison is blindingly obvious… and I am not talking about how much money was spent (the stats on that are still up for debate) (broken link). I’m talking about the idol worshippers flopping around on stages and dance floors. The Inaugural Balls have been a long tradition where the president and first lady dance and supporters celebrate… it’s a party. What it isn’t supposed to be is an orgy; or shall we call it a BO-orgy. Maybe an Oborgy… Obamorgy? Ya… that’s it… Obamorgy!

Barack Hussein Obama is not a god nor is he the second coming of Christ. He is a man who wants to place his mark in the history books as many times as possible. What that mark is, we shall soon find out. The sickening display of worship shown on television last night was the same thing the sinners did as they waited for Moses to return. They did not want to be good… they did not want to do the right things; they wanted the complete and disgusting ability to do anything they desired no matter what the consequence. Even if that meant sacrificing innocent lives to false gods in order to have wealth and bodily pleasures. The main difference between then and now is that the people we witnessed last night were not punished for their actions nor did they feel in the least bit embarrassed or ashamed. It’s their right to tear down the moral fiber of America, right?

I wonder if that is what other countries see when they look at the United States. Do they think all Americans are like the ugly displays on television and the Internet? Do they look at Hollywood and think we’re all drunken bastards or crack-smoking whores? If that is where they look… no wonder their hatred runs deep.

Who can we blame for the picture other countries see when they look at America? We can SAFELY blame the elite Liberal Hollywood crowd and the backstabbing self-interest politicians and the ignorant citizens who hope to catch a little fame by sacrificing a friend or neighbor… and, let us not forget, the liberal media who loves them all.

America IS a great country and that greatness is entirely made up of the normal, average every-day citizen who cares for his or her family, friends, neighbors, the land we live upon and the freedoms we cherish. Unfortunately, those freedoms have been taken advantage of by political desires, sue-happy gold diggers, fame mongers and the greedy men and women who want everyone else to give rather than giving themselves.

We need to show the world the pictures we hold dear to our hearts of the REAL America. We need to turn their eyes away from our liberal entertainers… away from the selfish people found in our political and legal system. We need to take their attention away from the fame-hungry citizens who think being outrageous and loud will get them noticed by their idols.

We need to show this world that the America I am proud of is full of normal… very normal… regular people who work hard, sacrifice much, love their family, care for the sick and elderly, worry about losing their jobs, live in small houses and drive dented cars. They need to see that not all of us get to live in mansions and wear clothing twice before throwing them out. Oh, don’t get me wrong… I hope to make enough money to be able to give freely to charities, to live in a bigger house some day and not have to worry about finances… but that doesn’t make me a bad person; it means I have goals for my life and the freedom to accomplish them… or fail trying.

The subject of Pride

We are a nation of greatness. Some would say that means we are a nation of pride. I am proud of my country, truth be told, and I wouldn’t trade it to live anywhere else. I am not proud of some of our politicians, entertainers, journalists, etc. To me they are not true Americans… they are trying to tear this country down into their own molded, socialistic pile of greed producing, false charity, welfare induced empire. I am not proud of them.

I have taught my son that there is nothing wrong with being proud of your own accomplishments so long as you are good to others in the process. I am proud of him, for he has learned this lesson well.

After all that mention of being proud of my son and proud of my country (although, not all who live here), it indeed sounds like pride is a great factor in American life.

That is not a true assessment.

Although many Americans are proud of this country… most of us have it well balanced with humility; and not the false humility we see from the Hollywood and political elitists. Either you know how to be proud and humble or you don’t… it isn’t always easy to balance the two. Too much humility is a joke… too much pride is disgusting.

Pride is very much a part of human nature and it is not owned by any one nation. People from other countries have pride in their own lands and to say only Americans have it is a lie. How one deals with the feeling of pride is the true test… it is much like honesty, compassion and hypocrisy. At one point or another we all feel compassion for someone else or just don’t care, we all live a little of the “do as I say, not as I do” motto and we all have moments of truth and falsehoods. For anyone to say otherwise, would be ignorance or stupidity.

FAIL: The New “F” Word

I had an email conversation yesterday regarding Rush Limbaugh’s statement wherein he says he only needs four words regarding Obama’s presidency… “I hope he fails”.

What gets the Liberals in an uproar about this statement is… how on Earth can anyone feel such animosity towards another person. Why would anyone hope another person fails? I don’t truly know how Rush feels… but I agree with the statement.

I hope the Liberal Socialistic mentality of the Left and the direction they are leading our country will fail. I hope it fails but I also hope THAT failure doesn’t pull our country down into a pit we can not crawl back out of; into a hell of socialism and communism and the loss of freedom.

I don’t want Obama as “the person” to fail… I don’t like to see people fail (although failure is often a very large lesson to future success). What I want to fail is the big government that he represents. It isn’t “him” so much as it’s the “idea” he represents. I don’t have anything against him personally… at least, not yet; who knows what he’ll do to change that assessment. It probably wouldn’t take too terribly much because as it stands… I think some of his personal beliefs are far out and not even close to mine.

Part of the way the left “wins” people over is through guilt. We are made to feel guilty about the environment (even if we do our part); we are made to feel guilty about racism (even if we don’t care about the color of skin); we are made to feel guilty due to poverty (even if we give to charities)… and any number of guilt-driven ideals that keep “bad” Americans in check even if they are better than those preaching (such as Al Gore, Pelosi, Jackson, etc.).

I don’t give thousands of dollars to charities because I don’t have thousands of dollars to give… but I would gladly help my friends, family and neighbors if and when I can and in the way that I can. Thing is… I wouldn’t give and then go on television and interview about how wonderful I am; my charity or lack thereof is my business.

Liberals want to force charity on people and MAKE them give because they don’t want to do it themselves.

This all leads to the main topic of this post: Hypocrisy is an ugly, old wet, mildewing rag that’s been sitting around under a leaky faucet for a couple of months.

Hypocrisy is by far the driving force of my anger this past election year and even the past 8+ years. I’ve watched how the media raised Clinton up on a pedestal even when he was lying under oath and after all the other devious and questionable things he did. I watched how they used a pick axe to drive George Bush into the ground and blame everything, even hurricanes, on a man who could apparently do no right in their eyes.

And now I watch as the media ascends into the heavens as they elate with magnificent joy and lust, taking Obama above mortal humans and into the presence of the gods.

Obama is doomed… and yet… even when he fails and falls flat on his face, the media will forgive him and say it’s because he was pressured beyond the ability of a black man to handle. Oh yes… they will make race the main reason for any faults he has. They won’t say it’s BECAUSE he’s black… they will say that others wouldn’t give him a fair chance because he’s black and therefore he couldn’t overcome that one thing he can’t change; the color of his skin.

I’ve been taught and I’ve taught my children that all humans are equal. We are not necessarily equal in all areas of life as that would just be weird… we’re by the very nature of humanity, different. Ultimately, however, we are the same. This weak shell we call skin isn’t what makes us who we are. The fact I don’t look exactly like everyone else doesn’t mean I am less smart or incapable of doing great things. My mind and my physical abilities is what makes things possible or impossible for me. The color of my skin or the imperfections of my looks means NOTHING.

I’ve taught my kids that if the person who calls himself your friend truly isn’t your friend… go find another. Stand up for what you believe in. It can be harder to do than to say. It can be hard to stand up for what you believe in when others talk the big talk with smooth tongues and convince you that blue is yellow and the sun is actually the moon. The good thing is… they can’t pull off their magician tricks as easily as they used to based on our sources of information (Internet, etc). The bad thing is… they can change history easily enough with the use of the those same inventions.

I knew more and heard more and read more this election than ever before… partly because of my interest, but mostly because of our ability to search out and find out for ourselves.

Obama… as the man… I wish you well and good luck. I hope you see the light and change your ways to bring about a better America; a better capitalist America. Socialism be damned.

Obama… the big government… I hope you fail and fail fast. I hope socialism falls as fast as you and Americans finally say “enough is enough” and teach the liberals that they can’t have everything their way. We are a nation of freedom… not restrictions to enhance the lives of those who don’t really give a damn about me… about you… or about anyone on this planet other than their own self interests.

Will illegal immigrants hire American citizens before too long?

LINK: The Shape of Things to Come: Obamanomics

This video says a lot… it tells us how bad it could get and it also hints to the way big business has all along not cared one bit what the law says in regards to hiring illegal immigrants. We have not done anything to stop the hiring of illegals… at least not REALLY done anything.

I believe the video was created to show how bad it could get for LEGAL citizens when it comes to finding a job because illegal immigrants will not only have the jobs, they will own the businesses. Why? Well, because Liberals, as per usual, will grant them the rights of American citizens even if they have not become American themselves. They will steal our jobs and then our businesses and eventually our country.

I’m all for immigrants coming to America and I’m all for them obtaining legal status by going through the proper channels. I will not accept any other method.

Good-bye Condi… we will miss your truth and honesty

LINK: Condi Blasts “Loathsome” CNN Reporter For Trashing US (broken link)

Zain Verjee: …But the United States is so loathed!

Condoleezza Rice: The United States is not loathed. The policies of the United States are sometimes not liked. People don’t like that we’ve had to say hard things and do hard things about terrorism. People don’t like that we’ve spoken fiercely for the right of Israel to defend itself at the same time we’ve worked for a Palestinian State. But I have to go back. So many people in and around when that incident happened told me how embarrassed they were by the fact that that had happened.

Verjee: Do you regret…

Condoleezza Rice: No. Only that the focus of those who were supposed to be reporting history didn’t focus on the historical moment which was- This was the president of the United States in Baghdad, for goodness sakes, with the freely elected prime minister in a show of friendship.

And the ignorant comments under this video… some of these people really don’t deserve to be American. And if they are NOT American, then lets hope they stay that way!!
