Military vs Congressional Pensions

Love him or loathe him, he nailed this one right on the head.
By Rush Limbaugh:

I think the vast differences in compensation between victims of the September 11 casualty and those who die serving our country in Uniform are profound. No one is really talking about it either, because you just don’t criticize anything having to do with September 11. Well, I can’t let the numbers pass by because it says something really disturbing about the entitlement mentality of this country If you lost a family member in the September 11 attack, you’re going to get an average of $1,185,000. The range is a minimum guarantee of $250,000, all the way up to $4.7 million.

If you are a surviving family member of an American soldier killed in action, the first check you get is a $6,000 direct death benefit, half of which is taxable. Next, you get $1,750 for burial costs. If you are the surviving spouse, you get $833 a month until you remarry. And there’s a payment of $211 per month for each child under 18. When the child hits 18, those payments come to a screeching halt.

Keep in mind that some of the people who are getting an average of $1.185 million up to $4.7 million are complaining that it’s not enough. Their deaths were tragic, but for most, they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Soldiers put themselves in harms way FOR ALL OF US, and they and their families know the dangers.

We also learned over the weekend that some of the victims from the Oklahoma City bombing have started an organization asking for the same deal that the September 11 families are getting. In addition to that, some of the families of those bombed in the embassies are now asking for compensation as well.

You see where this is going, don’t you? Folks, this is part and par cel of over 50 years of entitlement politics in this country. It’s just really sad. Every time a pay raise comes up for the military, they usually receive next to nothing of a raise. Now the green machine is in combat in the Middle East while their families have to survive on food stamps and live in low-rent housing. Make sense?

However, our own US Congress voted themselves a raise. Many of you don’t know that they only have to be in Congress one time to receive a pension that is more than $15,000 per month. And most are now equal to being millionaires plus. They do not receive Social Security on retirement because they didn’t have to pay into the system.

If some of the military people stay in for 20 years and get out as an E-7, they may receive a pension of $1,000 per month, and the very people who placed them in harm’s way receives a pension of $15,000 per month.

I would like to see our elected officials pick up a weapon and join ranks before they start cutting out benefits and lowering pay for our sons and daughters who are now fighting.

“When do we finally do something about this?”

Glenn Beck’s Interview with Toby Keith

This interview goes along with the posting of Toby Keith’s song “Love me if you can” shown in the post below.

Some of the interview is hard to follow because I think Toby was just going with his gut and didn’t have a transcript or anything. I found it interesting so thought I would link it.

LINK: Toby Keith Interview (broken link)

A sampling:

KEITH: The reason — Afghanistan, by the way, I just returned from over there two weeks ago, but Afghanistan’s doing great. Afghanistan is a country. They still have the Taliban crossing the border because Pakistan won’t — won’t rule their side of it, but as they regroup across, our guys are set up so well over there they just take care of them with very few casualties and the country is doing well, they don’t have all that tribal fighting that was (unintelligible).

Now, in Iraq, the biggest problem they have is insurgency and keeping the tribal wars, the civil war going on. In my opinion — and I’m just a songwriter, I’m not a celebrity, nobody should listen to me, but in my opinion, going over there and doing a hundred shows it seems to me at some point the Iraqi government, they need to establish their —

GLENN: Sure.

KEITH: — some kind of a — even if it’s all Shi’a or even if it’s all Sunni or whatever they do, their — their military and their police force are going to have to quit fighting amongst themselves tribal-wise and they’re going to have to stand up and take control of their country, or we’re going to have to stand back — we can’t leave, I think we could stand back and let them have their civil war and play king of the mountain or whatever because our guys are on every corner over there we’re living under Congress’ ultimatum, and to me, I don’t see how it can be won.

GLENN: People talk to me all the time, they call in and say Glenn, give me some good news, tell me — tell me something that is good that you see in America, give me some hope. And I see it all across America, but you travel, and you perform and you speak to so many Americans. What is the voice of the American people saying that Washington is just not hearing right now? Who are we?

KEITH: Well, I think — I think overall this is — you know, I think overall everybody’s proud to be Americans, and I think they support the troops. Now, you gotta keep in mind that I’m — you know, I’m poster boy for going over there and playing, so they’re not — not too many people are going to come up and say something bad to me about the troops, you know. So I — I hear a lot of positive things about it. As a whole, I think that — I think that we’re — our identity is that we’re compassionate. You know, we don’t — Saddam Hussein ran his country by — by slaughtering neighborhoods and then —

Love Me if You Can

I found these lyrics off the web so I’m not sure if they’re exactly right. I heard this song today and thought it was very close to how so many people I know and have heard talk actually feel about what’s happening in our country and with our dealings with other countries.

Love me if you can by Toby Keith

Sometimes I think that war is necessary.
Every night I pray for peace on Earth.
I hand out my dollars to the homeless.
But believe that every able soul should work.

My father gave me my shotgun
that I’ll hand down to my son,
try to teach him everything it means.

(chorus)
I’m a man of my convictions.
Call me wrong, call me right.
But I bring my better angels to every fight.
You may not like where I’m going,
but you sure know where I stand.
Hate me if you want to, love me if you can.

I stand by my right to speak freely.
But I worry ’bout what kids learn from TV.
And before all of debatin’ turns to angry words and hate,
sometimes we should just agree to disagree.

And I believe that Jesus looks down here and sees us,
and if you ask him he would say

(chorus)
I’m a man of my convictions.
Call me wrong, call me right.
But I bring my better angels to every fight.
You may not like where I’m going,
but you sure know where I stand.
Hate me if you want to, love me if you can.

War on Terror

I participated in a poll… mind you it was from a conservative website (Hannity)… but it’s still a poll. I wonder if anyone will take it seriously?

I didn’t look at the results until after I voted… but while I was viewing the options I thought to myself that it was a close call for me between Illegal Immigration, the War on Terror and Homeland Security.

So I voted… for the War on Terror and then looked at the results.

1. Illegal Immigration got 48.29%
2. War on Terror got 30.39%
3. Homeland Security got 13.33%

Everything else was below 2 % at the time I participated.

HELLO!!

Seems to me that all three of these issues are closely related. To me it just proves that conservatives are mostly worried about the same things… keeping our country safe!!

Note: But since I don’t believe in polls, I suppose I shouldn’t bother, right? That seems to be what’s happening. So many polls seem false… even this one could be false if their website allows you to vote more than once. But because I’ve been jaded to them I end up with two feelings when I read a poll like this 1) Whoooo – hoooo …. finally there’s something out there that reads true to my feelings or 2) It’s just another stupid poll and since I don’t like any polls, I can’t be a hypocrite and just go with the one that agrees with me.

It’s a conspiracy I tell ya!

Full results as of the afternoon of 6-19-07

Results: What issue do you think is the most important in the ’08 presidential election?
1. Illegal Immigration 48.29%
2. Free Trade 0.42%
3. War on Terror 30.39%
4. UN 0.13%
5. Education 0.65%
6. Abortion 1.87%
7. Gun Rights 1.35%
8. International Relations 0.93%
9. Social Security 1.13%
10. Free Speech 1.51%
11. Homeland Security 13.33%

No we won’t be better off!

I was listening to the radio today and a very quick interview occured where an illegal alien from Mexico stated that he felt it was unfair that they (those who are illegal) can’t go to college. His take was that if they are allowed to go to college, then America will be better off for it.

NO WE WON’T BE BETTER OFF.

It won’t be a better place because you are allowed to go to college in America when you’re not an American citizen. It won’t be a better place because you are able to get money from the government (if you don’t pay for it yourself and more than likely you won’t) to go to college because you can’t afford to “pay your way”. It won’t be a better place because you can get a higher paying job than me due to the fact I wasn’t able to go to college because I had other responsibilities. It won’t be a better place because you go to college and push out the real American citizens by claiming you’re a minority and therefore get to take away jobs.

NO… it won’t be a better place if illegals go to college. It may indeed be a better place if they first gain citizenship – let them do that first. Let them prove they love America as much as I do and that they don’t just want to use it until it runs dry.

Letter to Larry Craig, US Senator

My letter to Larry Craig…

I do not support the bipartisan immigration reform bill. I feel the issues of border enforcement and legalization should not be in one bill. We need to enforce our borders first and keep them enforced for years to come. Once this is accomplished we can then focus on those illegal people who have been here for years.

I am concerned about terrorist coming into our country and strongly feel that this will lessen if we control our borders from those coming into America without the legal right to do so. I am not against Mexican citizens visiting our country or gaining legal citizenship here… I am against anyone from any country coming to America and terrorising us or using our system against us. Please consider these things while you are in office.

Thank you

Immediate form generated response:

Thank you for sending me an electronic message, a copy of which is provided below. This automated message is provided to let you know that your message was sent.

As one of Idaho’s United States Senators, my first responsibility is to represent and address the concerns of Idahoans. I appreciate the time you have taken to contact me and will respond to your message as quickly as possible. Please understand that sometimes additional research is required to address your concerns and a response to your message may take a little longer. When the Senate is debating controversial issues, I see an increase in mail volume which also delays my ability to respond rapidly.

If your message requested my assistance in dealing with a federal agency, you may want to save time by contacting one of my offices directly. The addresses and telephone numbers of each of my offices are provided on my website.

Again, thank you for contacting me.

Sincerely,
Larry E. Craig
United States Senator

Question: Do they actually read every email and letter that comes to them? Do they hire people to do it for them and then my message “might” get to the Senator? I’m just wondering what my chances are for it reaching the person I actually wrote it for, you know!

… and I really don’t know all the issues or the right words to use… I just know that we must secure our borders in order to remain a free America. If we don’t, we will fall with disgrace.

If I Were The Devil

If I were the devil I would gain control of the most powerful nation in the world {America}.

I would fill people’s minds with doubts about the biblical account of Creation.

I would promote an attitude of loving “things” instead of people {pools, cars, etc}.

I would dupe entire states into relying on gambling for their state revenues.

I would convince people that character is not an issue when it comes to leadership {see Bill Clinton}.

I would make it legal to take the life of unborn babies.

I would make it socially acceptable to take one’s own life, and invent machines to make it convenient.

I would cheapen human life as much as possible so that the life of animals is valued more than the life of human beings.

I would take God out of the schools, and I would make the mere mention of His name grounds for a lawsuit.

I would take a religion of love, and pervert its’ followers into hating those that are “different” from them {911 attack}.

I would make mind altering drugs easily obtainable and I would especially target the young, and I would get famous rock stars to defend their use.

I would gain control of the television media so that every night I could pollute the mind of every family member for my agenda.

I would attack the family, the backbone of any nation. I would make divorce acceptable and easy, even fashionable. If the family crumbles, so does the nation.

I would convince the world that people are born homosexuals, and see to it that same sex marriage is considered perfectly normal and acceptable.

I would encourage people to express their most depraved fantasies on canvas and movie screens, and I would call it “art”.

I would convince the people that right and wrong are determined by a few who call themselves authorities and refer to their agenda as “politically correct” {ACLU}.

I would persuade people that the Church is irrelevant and out of date, and the Bible is only for the naive.

I would dull the minds of people of Faith and make them believe that prayer is not important, and that faithfulness and obedience are optional, to be left up to each individual.

…….Hmmm, come to think of it I guess I would leave things pretty much the way they are today.

~~ Paul Harvey in 1999 ~

I am guilty of some of these things and I find them acceptable to me… right or wrong. I guess one of the keys is that if you are guilty of some then you have to accept when others are guilty of those things you don’t do. Interesting, huh.

Remember Me

I think this video is wonderful… too bad so many people had to turn it into a comment battleground.

ATTENTION! I apologize for any inconvenience, but I have been receiving way too many negative comments and people arguing with and insulting each other in comments on this video. After a lot of hard thought, I have decided to disable comments on my video. I may or may not turn them back on again, we’ll have to see. Again, I’m sorry, but you can thank the people who decided to turn this into a debate forum. Thank you for your time, and I apologize again to those of you who didn’t do anything wrong.

Thanks,
Lizzie Palmer

I thought it was beautiful. That being said, I could also feel the pain of not wanting my son to go to war as I watched the pain on the faces of those who had lost someone. If my son goes, I so much want to be the one with the smiling face and arms thrown around him when he returns.

My comments to Lizzie

I loved your “remember me” video and would have said so in the comments… too bad you had to turn them off, but I understand. It’s alright because I can still let you know here how much it moved me and gave me feelings of pride while still tearing me up inside.

My son is now 16 and wants to join the military. He is currently in JROTC and feels very strongly about his reasons for wanting to join. For me, a mother of this wonderful 16 year old young man, I have such mixed emotions. I want him to do what is right for him and for our country… but I am scared.

I do not want to be one of those with just memories of what was or what could have been. I want to be one of the lucky moms who gets to welcome her son home with open arms for a job well done.

So I cry periodically for what may happen… almost as if to prepare myself. Between you and me… no one can prepare themselves for pain like that… I pray it never happens.

But don’t think of this as a protest… I am a strong believer in freedom, personal and as a whole country. If we back down from those who hate us, we will no longer be what we are… we will be dead, literally or spiritually… just dead.

Thank you again!!

Our Doomed Future: Leadership of Hilary & Others

Just thought I would link to David’s site on this subject. Hilary is the worse of them all (see my post below this one). They hypocrisy of the Clintons makes me sick. Heaven help us if the blind actually elect her for she and “hers” will be the end of the American way of life. Black, white, yellow, red, purple… it won’t matter. No one will be safe from her dictatorship.

LINK: David Drake: Imus, Ho’s, And Still… No One Asks Hillary About Her Language

First, the white Americans will become the ultimate in trash and forced resentment. Even people not full of hate for those who are white will some how have memory of a time when they were victim to someone of lighter skin. Even if such memory doesn’t exist or is the memory of someone else.

Second, those that are white will be made to pay for the horrors inflicted upon those who are black… even if those horrors are only remembered in the minds of those who are long dead or those who love to make up stories (see Duke). Payment will come in jail time where a person will become lower than dirt and used by those who reside in the jail and hate whites. Rocks will be thrown through windows of homes who have never seen hatred or crime against them. Children will be beaten, raped or killed just because they are white. Horrors will be inflicted upon the lighter skinned in hopes of making them feel sorry for what they may or may not have been a part of… but it won’t matter if they are innocent because in the eyes of aggressors, all will be guilty if their skin is white.

Third, the rights of all Americans will become the rights of those whose skin is NOT white. Whites will lose jobs over someone darker then them (already happening) and lose their homes because all their darker-skinned neighbors will be given loans over those with lighter skin which will bring out the hate in the neighbors who will say “whitey doesn’t belong here”. Even the neighbors who would never say such a thing in the past will suddenly become racist and hate whites if for no other reason than to not be a victim themselves.

Forth, the streets will be filled with gang members (as in some cities it already is the case) who seek out white people in order to beat or kill them into submission of whatever form they wish at the time.

I realize some of these things are happening now and that the order above is not necessarily the order in which things happen or will happen. But I also know that if we continue the way we seem to be going, these things will happen more and more along with things I can’t even imagine. It’s a horrible prospect and I believe that if the far left get control, we are doomed to live in a country of hate, forced tolerance and guilt for things we are not guilty of doing or thinking.

It truly doesn’t matter what skin a person is wearing… it’s what is found underneath that matters. Unfortunately, the stereotyping of so many people in the world is often found to be true by those who hate others. I don’t necessarily say we all need to love everyone we meet… but it sure wouldn’t hurt if we at least tried to like them before jumping to conclusions.

We have a long way to go… but not in the direction of Jesse, Al or Hilary. They are for hatred, not against it.

Dalai Lama has made the list

After reading a few articles and thoughts on the Dalai Lama being added to the jihadist hit list, I’m left with the undeniable truth…

We are ALL on their hit list.

I happen to like the Dalai Lama… just his picture makes me smile. He has unfortunately stood up for terrorists in the past and now he is their target. Ironic. I suppose he stands up for them because he feels everyone should have a chance to be a good person… I honestly don’t know the whole reasoning.

I am not on the same plane as he… I happen to feel it is better to fight for my life and my freedoms than to turn the other cheek and feel the bullet in my back.

And eye for an eye often leads to a life for a life… I’m just tired of others determining what I’m willing to loose for the sake of politics or insane terrorists.

This isn’t the game of Risk. This is our great grand children’s future. This is our way of life under the microscope and in the gun sights of misguided, jealous, ignorant fools.

Let Americans feel pride just like the Spartans

I just saw the movie “300” and thought it was great. Why? Probably because we think it’s about time someone went to war and actually DID something against those who want to enslave their people, rather than sit around with their thumbs up their asses because they don’t want to conduct “war” incorrectly and be accused of being “wrong”.

Or… maybe it was because the special affects were great. The connection between the movie/comic book and actual history may have been a bit off (giants, etc), but I thought the movie had a great message. Stand up for your people… fight against slavery at any cost.

Either way, I’ve already noticed people saying it was a political statement and that Hollywood is declaring war on Iranians. Are you kidding? Hollywood is more often than not the allies for those against America. But that could just be my bitter side talking.

LINKED Article: Movie ‘300’ called an insult to ancient Persia (link broken)

The above article came out shortly after the first weekend this movie was released… I’m surprised it didn’t come out the hour after the first showing. I’m sure there are tons of other articles just like it, but quite frankly all I feel is wouldn’t it be nice if the men in our armed forces were given the ability to actually fight a war rather than play traffic cop. We have real men in our country but unfortunately they are being held back by limp wristed politicians who use choke collars on their warriors and give unlimited freedom to the media who wants to destroy our country.

Let Americans be proud again! Let Americans feel compassion freely! Let Americans care without a hot poker at their back!

Forced diversity breeds hate. That’s my new tag line.

Forced Tolerance Creates Hate

So… when will it go too far? When will someone explain to me why nations are so afraid of “offending” he “wrong” people?

I’m really tired of hearing about how we have to be careful not to offend because everyone is suppose to be “equal” and “special”. Really? Equal rights is good… but what if the process of giving everyone equal rights takes away the rights of others? I find the irony overwhelming.

It’s hard to feel compassion for others if “feeling compassion” is shoved down our throats until we are forced into submitting to it. Compassion is not a forced emotion… it’s a natural occurrence and if it is allowed to grow without threats or fear, it will be the greatest emotion a person can have. I have compassion for many people in many circumstances… but I am losing any compassion for others when I am told I MUST feel it and demonstrate it. As a matter of fact, all this “you must be tolerant and compassionate and lose your pride in who you are” is making me angry. All forced multiculturalism and diversity does is create a society of hate. Isn’t that what we’re trying to avoid?

Here’s an article I found “interesting”…
LINK: Ban Thwarts ‘Year of the Pig’ Ads in China

China’s preparing for the year of the Pig, an especially auspicious year which begins on Feb. 18. But the run-up has been anything but lucky for pork fans. Pigs have been banned from appearing in any ads on the state-run broadcaster, CCTV, after an order that is now surrounded by confusion.

The order means that ads for consumer treats such as sausage snacks have been yanked from airing. A brand manager for Tenlow snacks says ads for his company’s pork snacks deliver positive messages.

“Both adults and children believe pigs are a lucky symbol, which bring fortune and wealth,” Tenlow’s Wu Ying said. “Their plumpness means prosperity.”

This cartoon pig used in Tenlow’s ads would hardly seem subversive. But CCTV has ordered major advertising agencies not to use pig images, cartoons or slogans “to avoid conflicts with ethnic minorities.” That’s a reference to China’s 20 million Muslims, about 2 percent of the country’s population.

At a popular mosque in Shanghai, there’s general approval of the ban. Given the Muslim taboo on pigs, these believers say that seeing pig images on TV would make them feel very uncomfortable.

And at the bottom of the article…

From the outside, China’s government might appear monolithic. But the saga of the pig ban shows how it’s struggling with multiculturalism, riddled with insecurity and beholden to commercial pressures, as perhaps never before.

There’s that word again… multiculturalism. If you move to a country where your traditions don’t fit in, you either need to NOT move there or adjust to the traditions of your NEW country. You can still have your own traditions in your home but you don’t have to force them down my throat or change my traditions to match yours. The same would be true if I moved to another country… it wouldn’t be my right to change everyone around me to conform to how I want to live.

Another… here’s one that’s just absurd…
LINK: Three Little Pigs Almost Banned (broken link)

THE Three Little Pigs WILL star in a Huddersfield show.

Organisers of a children’s concert have given the go-ahead for the three little pigs to appear after they were banned because of fears they might offend Muslims.

Honley C of E Junior School pupils were to perform the Roald Dahl story of Little Red Riding Hood and the pigs – but were told to substitute puppies.

Now a senior Kirklees councillor has insisted that the little pigs should be reinstated in the show.
No complaints had been made about the pigs appearing in the Kirklees Primary Music Festival event.

But festival organisers said the pigs should be replaced by the puppies because many Muslim children would be appearing in the Huddersfield Town Hall show, featuring more than 60 schools.

The committee organising the concert decided that Muslim children may not want to sing about pigs.

Now Clr Dodds says the decision has been overturned.

He added: “There is something barmy going on here and it has happened on my watch.

“I can tell you now that the three little pigs will be back in the school musical festival.

“The decision to ban the pigs was made by well-meaning people – but it was the wrong decision.

“Let’s stick with the traditions,” he added.

The festival is due to take place in June.

At least someone, somewhere said “Wait a minute! This is getting out of hand!”

The Dangers of Multiculturalism

The following article has been floating around the web and in emails for some time. I received it via email and found it very interesting. If you’re also interested in how America is being destroyed, give it a read and see what you think. I am not familiar with how much of this has actually happened as of today, nor do I have the ability to prove what will happen if things continue the way they are… but I am proud to be an American and tired of others who just don’t seem to give a damn.

March 25, 2006

How To Destroy America
by Dick Lamm

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant.

Recently there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of American’s finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Davis Hansen talked about his latest book, Mexifornia, explaining how immigration – both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America. The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, “If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let’s destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that ‘An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'”

“Here is how they do it,” Lamm said:

“First, to destroy America, turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country.” History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: ‘The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.’ Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans.”

Lamm went on: Second, to destroy America, “Invent ‘multiculturalism’ and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

Third, “We could make the United States an ‘Hispanic Quebec’ without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: ‘The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.’ Lamm said, “I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.”

“Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high. school.”

“My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of ‘Victimology.’ I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population.”

“My sixth plan for America’s downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other – that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia, threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. E. Pluribus Unum — From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the ‘pluribus’. Instead of the ‘Unum,’ we will balkanize America as surely as Kosovo.”

“Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits; make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of ‘diversity.’ I would find a word similar to ‘heretic’ in the 16th century – that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like ‘racist’ or ‘xenophobe’ halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of ‘Victimology,’ I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them.”

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said, “Lastly, I would censor Victor Davis Hanson’s book, Mexifornia. His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don’t read that book.”

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate ‘diversity.’ American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America – take note of California and other states – to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell’s book, 1984. In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: “War is peace,” “Freedom is slavery,” and “Ignorance is strength.”

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that the future of our great nation is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don’t get this immigration monster stopped quickly, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

My Capitalistic View Point :o)

I thought about all the turmoil in the world today and how it sometimes feels like it’s the “worse” time to be alive. It’s a lot like the thoughts teens have when they say “my life is worse than anyone else’s”… or when a woman say “she’s so much prettier than I’ll ever be”.

Note: I don’t think this is the worse time to be alive… just the most interesting. :O)

There are hard times for different people and different countries all through history. So I wonder… is our time the hardest? We have running water, electricity, electronic entertainment coming out our ears, autos, planes, plentiful food. What’s so hard about now?

Perhaps it’s two fold:

1) we want so much to be important in life… to be “somebody” that when we fall short of where we thought we would be, we feel sorry for our self and think “whoa is me”.

2) Technology will be our downfall. Okay… so that may seem dramatic, but it may come true some day. We have the ability to do so much good, but instead we sit back and watch as terrorists destroy freedoms across the globe. How do I think technology will be the end-all? Because technology is not only for the “good-guys”… it’s equally available to the “bad-guys”. So in actuality… it’s not technology… it’s the people using it.

So I’m pondering tonight… what can I do to make myself important so I don’t become the ultimate whiner and how can we destroy those who wish to destroy our freedom. For me, I need to participate in our capitalistic society and become an entrepreneur. :0)
