If I Were The Devil

If I were the devil I would gain control of the most powerful nation in the world {America}.

I would fill people’s minds with doubts about the biblical account of Creation.

I would promote an attitude of loving “things” instead of people {pools, cars, etc}.

I would dupe entire states into relying on gambling for their state revenues.

I would convince people that character is not an issue when it comes to leadership {see Bill Clinton}.

I would make it legal to take the life of unborn babies.

I would make it socially acceptable to take one’s own life, and invent machines to make it convenient.

I would cheapen human life as much as possible so that the life of animals is valued more than the life of human beings.

I would take God out of the schools, and I would make the mere mention of His name grounds for a lawsuit.

I would take a religion of love, and pervert its’ followers into hating those that are “different” from them {911 attack}.

I would make mind altering drugs easily obtainable and I would especially target the young, and I would get famous rock stars to defend their use.

I would gain control of the television media so that every night I could pollute the mind of every family member for my agenda.

I would attack the family, the backbone of any nation. I would make divorce acceptable and easy, even fashionable. If the family crumbles, so does the nation.

I would convince the world that people are born homosexuals, and see to it that same sex marriage is considered perfectly normal and acceptable.

I would encourage people to express their most depraved fantasies on canvas and movie screens, and I would call it “art”.

I would convince the people that right and wrong are determined by a few who call themselves authorities and refer to their agenda as “politically correct” {ACLU}.

I would persuade people that the Church is irrelevant and out of date, and the Bible is only for the naive.

I would dull the minds of people of Faith and make them believe that prayer is not important, and that faithfulness and obedience are optional, to be left up to each individual.

…….Hmmm, come to think of it I guess I would leave things pretty much the way they are today.

~~ Paul Harvey in 1999 ~

I am guilty of some of these things and I find them acceptable to me… right or wrong. I guess one of the keys is that if you are guilty of some then you have to accept when others are guilty of those things you don’t do. Interesting, huh.
