It’s hard to express the intelligence I came up against every time I had a question about technology. Answers would come my way and I would be floored and impressed. Often, I had to answer emails back and say “uh… so… I’m going to need that in layman’s terms, please”.

Countries Preparing for War

China and Russia… we had power, we had respect… then along came Biden.

Democracy in Hong Kong has been eliminated. It was inevitable once it returned to the hands of the Chinese Communists in 1997.

Hong Kong Pro-Democracy News site closes after raid

The outlet was one of the last remaining openly critical voices in Hong Kong following the shuttering of the Apple Daily newspaper, which closed after its publisher, Jimmy Lai, and top editors were arrested and its assets frozen.

Police raided Stand News’ office earlier in the day after arresting the six, including popular singer and activist Denise Ho, a former board member, on charges of conspiracy to publish a seditious publication.

Hong Kong Court Denies Bail

In the latest move to crack down on pro-democracy institutions, roughly 200 police officers raided the online publication Wednesday and froze its assets.

Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam defended the Stand News raid, and told reporters that “inciting other people…could not be condoned under the guise of news reporting.”

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken condemned the move and said, “Journalism is not sedition.”

“A confident government that is unafraid of the truth embraces a free press,” he added.

NOTE: Shall we discuss those still behind bars for being at the wrong place at the wrong time in January 2021? Shall we mention the way they’re rights have been violated?

China removes Tiananmen Square massacre memorials from 2 more Hong Kong universities

The removal of three Tiananmen Square massacre memorials in rapid succession comes as part of a crackdown on public dissent since China imposed new security laws over Hong Kong last year. The new laws criminalized broadly defined acts of “sedition,” “subversion,” “secession” and “terrorism,” including such acts as waving Hong Kong independence flags or shouting pro-independence slogans.

NOTE: Many US politicians and their minions have done something very similar in the removal of memorials within the United States because history is inconvenient.

What’s happening in Russia? As they sit on the border of Ukraine, they issued a national standard regarding mass burial laws that go into effect in February 2022. By the way, they also ordered the liquidation of the Memorial society… more below.

Russia shuts down human rights watchdog, passes mass burial law in preparation for war

On Dec. 28, the Russian Supreme Court ordered the liquidation of the Memorial society, the oldest human rights organization in Russia.

In 2014, Russia declared the Moscow Human Rights Center of Memorial a “foreign agent.” Two years later, this designation was given to the entire organization. In a hope that it would turn the Russian public against Memorial, the government obliged it to add “foreign agent’ to its logo on all websites and printed documents. Memorial fought in the Russian courts while accumulating astronomical fines that were paid through fundraising among supporters. Last month, the Russian prosecutor general finally requested the liquidation of Memorial. That order was protested around the world, including a statement in defense of Memorial signed by two Russian Nobel Peace Prize laureates: Mikhail Gorbachev and Dmitry Muratov.

The crackdown on human rights continues.

On Dec. 27, a Russian court extended to 15 years the prison term given to historian Yuri Dmitriev. Dmitriev came to prominence by uncovering, with the help of Memorial, the mass graves of political prisoners shot by Josef Stalins’s secret police in Karelia, parts of which Russia annexed in 1940. Dmitriev had been arrested on dubious charges in 2016, acquitted in 2018, rearrested the same year, and sentenced to 3 1/2 years.

Mass Burials to come…

Last fall, while Russian prosecutors were busy suppressing information about repressions and mass burials in the Soviet Union, the Russian Federal Agency for Technical Regulations and Metrology issued a national standard on “urgent burial of corpses in peacetime and wartime.” It provided detailed blueprints for the construction of mass graves and spelled out the manpower needed to bury “1,000 dead within 3 days.” The new law goes into effect on Feb. 1, raising questions about its relation to the amassing of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine.

Jussie Smollett Prediction

Jussie Smollett was found guilty of 5 out of 6 charges brought against him. There is an endless stockpile of information regarding what he said and what he did, and it is obvious that he set this entire thing up.

Here’s a quick prediction now that he’s been found guilty by a jury.

All of his friends, especially those in Hollywood, will circle the wagons and tell the world that they understand how he feels and forgive him for doing what he did. More specifically, they will forgive him for lying to them and making them look like fools.

No Right to Defense

Listening to the closing arguments in the Rittenhouse trial clearly indicates how some people honestly believe that when a person is attacked by another individual, they must wait until they are beaten to death before defending themselves.

The words coming out of the mouths of the lawyers makes me wonder if they know what is protected by the Constitution of the United States. This is why we have a justice system. This is why we do not rush to judgment in deciding a person’s fate.

Imagine what would have happened if legal judgment was placed as quickly as the media’s judgement. In this particular case, the 17-year-old would have been hanged and the mob labeled heroic in the process.

Borders in Question

Canada Vs. Mexico

In 2018 we went on a cruise to Mexico. It was our first cruise and it was fantastic! We were part of an 8-party group that cruised together and we visited 3 ports and had 2 formal evenings onboard. We had the time of our lives and love it!

In 2019 we went on an Alaskan cruise. It was just two of us that time and we flew to Seattle and into Canada where we boarded the ship. It was a good time and a great memory. There was a hiccup or two and the cruise line ended up giving us a $750 credit for a future cruise.

Unmask the Children

There is no reason our children should be wearing masks. Decades from now many of them will have mental health issues caused by these unscientific regulations. Wearing a mask restricts our freedom of expression and it’s all due to the ridiculous governmental grip on our society.

Question for you based on the above paragraph. What country am I talking about?

Larry Elder for Governor of California

Larry Elder is running for governor of California as a Republican against Gavin Newsom who is currently fighting against a recall effort against him.

Go to Elect Elder and make a donation if you feel he can help fix the mess growing beyond belief in California. I am extremely confident in his ability to make life better for those suffering in the state and those who think no one cares.

Employers Who Discriminate

In March of 2020, my department was removed from our office location and sent home to work there permanently. It wasn’t meant to be permanent but quickly transitioned into working at home forever.

This was met with varying degrees of happiness by the staff members.

Some were ecstatic because they loved the idea of never needing to drive to work again nor see everyone’s faces. These were the reclusive of the group.

Others were very upset because they desired the ability to see everyone in person and enjoyed the interactions with others; plus they got out of the house.

I was somewhere in between.

The CDC Steps on the Supreme Court’s Toes

This might seem like a no-brainer, but the CDC is not supposed to make our laws!

Rochelle Walensky, who was appointed by Biden to run the CDC in Atlanta, announced she is nationalizing the nation’s rental properties and tenants are no longer required to pay their rent and landlords cannot evict for any reason.

Obviously the landlord/property owners of the rentals will fight back!

They will still need to pay their mortgages to the bank which means they will be the ultimate sufferers of all the chaos. And most of them represent the middle class.
