Political Frustations

During the past month and a half there have been moments when I heard this or that which caused me to want to comment. Then I bring up my computer to make those comments and one of two things happens. Either I have forgotten the punch line or I get this sick feeling in my gut that makes me angry at what’s happening just about everywhere.

I’m ill to my stomach when I hear the media… I’m ill to my stomach when I hear people say how bad this president is… I’m ill to my stomach when I have to defend my beliefs or ideals… I’m ill to my stomach when I hear the talk-show hosts that I like have to do and feel the same way.

Someone said they didn’t think a president and his cigar was as important as another president making false claims to lead us into a pointless police action. I just don’t know what to say. I do believe that these two presidents did different things but a “pointless police action”? I suppose only history will determine the outcome.

The thing that upsets me is that this person is taking two extreme sides and comparing them. There were plenty of horrible things Clinton did besides using his cigar in an inappropriate manner to compare to our current president. So why take these two things an compare them? Probably to show how good Clinton was and how horrible Bush is. If a comparison is to be made… lets looks at apples to apples… not apples to elephants.
