Obama Stimulus Package Breakdown

Below is the transcript from Glenn Beck’s website wherein it shows the detailed outline of the new BO stimulus package breakdown. It gives the where, the when and the how all this money will be spent to “boost our economy”.

Article: What is the money being spent on-general breakdown between infrastructure, tax cuts, etc…?

Some highlights of the package, by the numbers:
• $825 billion total (as of 1/15/09)
• $550 billion in new spending, described as thoughtful and carefully targeted priority investments with unprecedented accountability measures built in.
• $275 billion in tax relief ($1,000 tax cut for families, $500 tax cut for individuals through SS payroll deductions)
• $ 90 billion for infrastructure
• $ 87 billion Medicaid aid to states
• $ 79 billion school districts/public colleges to prevent cutbacks
• $ 54 billion to encourage energy production from renewable sources
• $ 41 billion for additional school funding ($14 billion for school modernizations and repairs, $13 billion for Title I, $13 billion for IDEA special education funding, $1 billion for education technology)
• $ 24 billion for “health information technology to prevent medical mistakes, provide better care to patients and introduce cost-saving efficiencies” and “to provide for preventative care and to evaluate the most effective healthcare treatments.”
• $ 16 billion for science/technology ($10 billion for science facilities, research, and instrumentation; $6 billion to expand broadband to rural areas)

I was thinking earlier today and actually I’ve been thinking about it for some time now. How many Obama supporters have been frothing at the mouth waiting for this information to come out so they could go directly to the section called “Individuals” to find out how much THEY will get out of this stimulus package?

[Lately it’s become quite clear that the most greedy people are also the most liberal… interesting, given how they point fingers at conservatives and accuse them of some of the most horrible greedy deeds.]

Out of the $825,000,000,000 stimulus package, individuals can expect to get about $500 ($1000 for a family). WOW… gee… I don’t know about you, but I’m sure gonna spend that “well earned cash” on something HUGE that will boost the economy. Maybe a bit of groceries?

Doesn’t it sound like we’re giving away our freedom for a lousy $500? Freedom in one hand… $500 in the other. Gosh… what should I do?

And for those of us who did not “give away our freedom for a mere $500”, let me remind you that it was actually stolen from you. It was stolen and then, with the slightest of hand, the thieves have slipped you a “little something” to bribe you into keeping quiet and letting your freedoms slip down the drain straight to socialism.

They pat you on the back and smile with a friendly little nod and wink saying “don’t you worry {you poor bastard} we’ll take care of you {especially if you fall into the right category} and make sure you’re happy {as long as it doesn’t interfere with our desires for more power} and free {ya… right}”.

I am angry… and with each passing day, I get more angry.

I listen to the reports and listen to Obama’s own words and I’m disgusted. I’m disgusted with people who sit near me at work… disgusted with the woman at my back (ironically) who thinks socialism would be better than “this”… disgusted with the BS that is slapping me in the face and how the Liberals think “it’s all good” and Obama will be able to do no wrong.

Obama Stimulus Plan – White Males Need Not Apply: Here’s something to make people angry… racism out in the open. But it’s okay because it supports the liberal agenda and I’m sure someone will say it was just “an example” and that they wouldn’t REALLY over look a qualified man just because he’s white. No? It’s been happening for years and now it’s apparently going to become a part of policy.

I’m disgusted with Obama telling Republicans that they need to conform and assimilate into the Democrat party in order to get along and move forward when it’s been the Democrats who have blocked all possibilities of such a thing when Bush was in office.

It’s been one week and I’m angry.

I don’t know if I can manage four years of my face being red with anger. I have no problem admitting when I’m wrong, I have no problem working with others even when we don’t agree.

What I have a problem with is this Liberal gag reflex and the donkey flavoring dripping down my throat.

Wow, what a great job on breaking the issues down. I agree completely.
It’s saddening that so many more common Americans don’t see what the left has been doing for so long, especially the messages they are subliminally given through mass media!

Hi Jared… I admit to being one of those blind folded Americans for such a long time; I just didn’t get it and didn’t think it mattered.

Now I’m just baffled by the way people think and how they truly feel we’re going to be better off now that we have a new president.

    Thanks for visiting!!

Amen brother, very well said. Agree with you completely.

  4. Jill says:

Why thank you Anonymous… but… I can be no one’s brother unless I get that operation overseas I’ve heard so highly about… LOL

‘How much… me, me, me.’ In actuality, I just quoted your ill conceived rant. I didn’t realize “stimulus” was defined as how much one receives. I’d like to clarify that “stimulus” is defind simply as TO MOTIVATE. Next time, try not making the same mistake of attacking a political group/person instead of the topic.

I’m honestly confused by what you mean.

What I don’t understand is what excludes you from your accusation that liberals are greedy when your first concern is how much individuals such as yourself will get out of this package. I do think we should have a different kind of payroll tax cut.

Also, I’m pretty sure that although the ‘white construction worker’ comment was stupid, the idea is to put the money in places that need the most stimulus, which makes sense. We can’t let cities and communities fall so far into decline that they are abandoned.

If you’re in a leaky boat, you need to patch the holes and most degraded parts before you reinforce the parts that are not going to immediately fail.

The package is not racist, he was saying money should go to the unemployed and people who have more trouble getting jobs because of discrimination–as opposed to people who already have jobs, or giving jobs away to one demographic by stimulating infrastructure. Limiting the stimulus to any one class or demographic would be a mistake anyway.

    Do you have an explanation?

  7. Jill says:

Apparently, my meaning is not clear. I am NOT concerned in the least how much I will get out of this package… they can keep it for all I care… as a matter of fact, I was thinking just the other day of donating it if indeed we get a check in the mail (I haven’t decided because, quite frankly, I’m feeling the pains of “no money” syndrome myself). I am referring to the people around me… the ones who swear that Obama will take them out of the dark ages and into a better world by making our country a socialist society (and I am not exaggerating… that is what is being said). These people I have heard from their own mouths how excited they are that they will be getting another stimulus check. It is “they” that I am referring to who will be excited about the $500 and oblivious to the much larger amount of money going into areas that will not help our country. My comment, however is a little two-fold… there is also the idea that if you give the people a bigger portion of that $825,000,000 package, they will indeed pay off debts and start spending money and that will start to fix some things automatically. On the other hand, some of them will spend it unwisely and it won’t help our economy at all… but who is to say what is wise and what is not, hmmm?

As to the white construction workers… it’s is unfortunately a well known fact these days that if it had been reversed and he had said that they should not give the money to black construction workers, there would be people up in arms about it. That is why I call it racist… because we have all of these things we can not say unless we say them the “right way”. There are people who are truly racist from all different walks of life and they are very bad people… I have no use for them and I’ve met a few (I broke up with a boyfriend because he was racist against black men… not black women… black men… and he would use words that angered me and when he said it in front of my son, that was the end… I would not allow him or anyone else to put their prejudices into my son’s head).

So you see… I feel racism is wrong in all ways. I am tired of hearing how so-and-so must be racist because he’s white and didn’t vote for Obama (and yes… I have heard it). A lady at work said that one of her friends voted for Obama because she didn’t want to be called a racist. That was stupid… you vote for someone because you believe in his or her policies… not based on what a person looks like.

I’m discusted by the reverse-racial profiling that is going on in our society. Little do my co-workers know that (because the majority of them are white construction workers) they will be cheated out of their well-deserved jobs by the “minorities” and “less-skilled” individuals that are getting a hand out because of some over exaggerated, archaic idea(media-fed) that they deserve some restitution.

Let me clarify. We TRADED goods for indiviuals to do some labor for us and took these people out of a third-world country that is now disease-ridden, gave them shelter, clothing, food and in some cases, money and now they call that oppression. Now the entire country is being forced to repay a non-existent debt?

If I were darker skinned, at work I could do no wrong, but I’m white – so heaven forbid I make a mistake. Forget making a complaint, submitting an idea, being generally human…

White is somehow not even fashionable. Look at the liberal newscasters. An asian journalist with a hispanic name with a black husband – Berkley would be proud.
